And that’s including our own Berlin Connector Dominic — which actually says a LOT!
Philip is the General Manager of TSH Berlin — around the corner of Alexanderplatz. With his Twinkling eyes and always a bright smile on his face, he could easily be your Go-to-Sales guy -> if only he was not so in love with his own team…
We can still remember the first time meeting & greeting Philip, who at first sight was Curious, Open and ready for a serious challenge: opening TSH Berlin.
Coming from an established career at the Accor Group — it could be a risky move. Not only does The Student Hotel have a very different Lifestyle approach to hospitality — also company wise there’s less structure and more room for entrepreneural spirit and creativity.
Would he actually fit the brand?
Philip quickly convinced us: this was the right time — and he is the right guy.
Being Hyperconnected and a Fixer to the crowd he does understand how to put the ‘Complete Connected Community’ at the center of TSH Berlin together with his amazing Team.
Q: So Philip, why did you decide to actually join TSH? And was it a good call ?
First of all: YES, it was a great call! I hope the company is as proud and happy to have me, as the other way round!
I had a great opportunity to experience a new concept, in a new building with a new approach — I was ready for it and am still learning every day! 😊
Q: What surprised you about working at TSH?
I was surprised that everything on the flashy marketing pictures and descriptions is lived up to in real live! AND every promise, every word was kept — much appreciated!
Q: What’s TOTALLY AWESOME about working at TSH?
Easy: This group of individuals in Berlin — the real herettes and heroes, and everywhere at TSH! Discussing, developing and improving — but ALWAYS laughing!
And the fact that Philip goes the extra mile does not only resonate to his team. Once he receives an invite to a TSH party he will go all out…
Q: Being ‘forever unfished’, where do you think/hope your career will lead you?
As long as I wake up every morning and am convinced that I am at the right spot, I am on the right track. I think there are more opportunities to inspire people — perhaps more team members or in different locations 😉
